The Greatest Sinner

Chapter 274 - Shopping

"Yes, they are all dead, moreover, there was another mage following this reconnaissance group. I also killed him. Unfortunately, I could not get any information. Their elder attacked me, but suddenly I was saved by Rave." Evan answered.

He deliberately gave Virion such a detailed answer. It was to show Virion the seriousness of the situation and that battle.

"I see, now it will be obvious to all heads of Families that I did not give you my Emerton Family amulet for nothing." Virion said calmly and took Kilia to Laila.

Not long ago, this girl had been Viscount Pol\'s famous daughter, but now she was nothing but a living sack of blood. It was indeed a terrible fate, but no one in Darkfil cared about that.

Evan smiled and left the Emerton Family estate in high spirits. Virion saw that Evan was wearing Scarlet Sacrifice, but he didn\'t say anything about the armor. That meant that Evan could keep it. It went even better than Evan had imagined.

<Good, now it\'s time to equip the lab and make the breakthrough.> Evan thought and headed for the main store in this town.

During the battle, Evan had made no progress towards breaking through his final Barrier. But when he learned about the Seven Princes of Hell and the experiments, he heard the last chain ringing around his Warp. It increased his understanding of magic and the world, which meant he was much stronger. All he had to do was take the next step forward.

But Evan wasn\'t going to rush into this event. He wanted to get stronger and go to the next level, but he had to take advantage of the situation. Evan didn\'t yet know exactly what kind of power he possessed. But, he knew that the energy his body emitted was capable of turning some things into other things and even helping monsters evolve.

When Reykar absorbed a large amount of the strange energy emanating from Evan, he could evolve and become much stronger. Evan was about to do something really crazy.

Rave used the blood of monsters to make people stronger, Evan would take a different path. He\'s going to try to force ordinary people into Gust and make them stronger with his blood and strange energy. He would have very different variables than Rave, and Evan was sure that sooner or later, he would achieve superior results.

But, first, Evan had to prepare himself. He was going to set up some formations so his energy wouldn\'t dissipate. Moreover, he wanted to put this energy into a flask and then use it at the right moment. Evan was sure he could do it because his energy could not change particularly strong materials. Of course, Evan would have to pay a huge sum to get something like this, but he was ready for it.

Vampires had extensive connections throughout The Kingdom of Fallen Hopes. So Evan figured he could get anything he wanted at Darkfil.

The store was called - \'Bloody Pearls.\' It was a massive, multi-story building with all sorts of sections. Everything from plants and ores to weapons and various mechanisms was sold here. What\'s more, it wasn\'t even a problem to buy slaves here. A wealthy vampire could come to Bloody Pearls and buy a human to drink his blood for a long time. This was a vampire town, and that sort of thing was the absolute norm here.

Evan was going to spend quite a bit of money, so he headed for one of the main vampires in the place. It was Dorlus Bexley. Unlike most vampires, he had dark, short hair and green eyes. That kind of look was pretty rare among vampires, but it wasn\'t out of the ordinary.

Evan said what he wanted, and when Dorlus realized that Evan\'s order would be very extensive, he decided to invite him into his office and discuss everything. Evan agreed, he had a lot to clarify, everything had to be perfect.

...

"Mr. Evan, have a seat," Dorlus said calmly, pointing to a leather chair. Dorlus was dressed in ample robes of black and purple. He looked like a merchant from the wilderness.

Dorlus then asked Evan an unexpected question, "Evan, would you like to taste what human blood tastes like? I\'d be a little uncomfortable drinking it alone."

Evan was puzzled but decided to decline, "No thanks simply, I don\'t think human blood would taste good to me."

"Suit yourself, I won\'t force it, then I apologize in advance." Said Dorlus and snapped his fingers.

The next moment a short girl with blond, long hair entered the office. She sat down next to Dorlus and bared her neck. Dorlus did not hesitate to sink his fangs into her smooth skin and slowly began to drink her blood. There was no emotion on the girl\'s face. She was already used to this kind of procedure, and the slight tingle from the bite even seemed pleasant to her.

Evan used Mammon\'s Gaze and looked at the girl. He wanted to make sure she was human, and she was. Moreover, like all humans, she was very weak, her Rank was 0.1.

When Dorlus was full, he let the girl go and said, "Sorry, I always want something refreshing to drink before an important deal."

"Never mind, let\'s get down to business. First, I need formations capable of containing my Splash while breaking through the Barrier. Then I need tools for experimentation. Various kinds of weapons. Poisons, some simple spell scrolls, various plants, a couple of potions, cages, and cells, furniture..."

Evan continued his list for a while longer. Even a few sheets of paper wouldn\'t be enough for Evan to write down everything he needed. But, Dorlus was not surprised. He listened intently to Evan while at the same time thinking about what goods and materials would best fit Evan\'s request.

He was an experienced merchant and knew how to get something very rare and unique. Dorlus had an excellent memory and easily remembered even the largest orders.. He was one of those who controlled the trade throughout Darkfil, he was a master at his craft.
